Cancellation conditions

These conditions apply to binding direct bookings with Hain 17. The reference time is check-in at 15:00 on the arrival date in the Europe/Berlin time zone. The total accommodation price is the amount stated in your booking confirmation.

How to declare a cancellation

Your booking confirmation includes a personal, time-limited cancellation link. Opening it shows a preview of the deadline and refund, without cancelling anything. Only a separate confirmation on the next page cancels your booking and releases the dates. If you have a technical problem, please write to gregor-grimm@gmx.de.

At least 72 hours before check-in

If cancellation is confirmed at least 72 hours before check-in at 15:00 (Europe/Berlin), including exactly at the 72-hour deadline, 90% of the total accommodation price is refunded. The remaining 10% is retained as a cancellation charge. Tourist tax that is not due is refunded in full.

Within 72 hours of check-in

For cancellations within the final 72 hours before check-in, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the agreed total accommodation price is retained. Tourist tax that is not due is still refunded in full.

Payment fees and refunds

Payment-provider fees are fully covered by the 10% cancellation charge and are not deducted again from the refund. PayPal sends the refund to the original payment method used for the booking; you will not be asked for an IBAN or PayPal address.

Less damage and replacement rentals

The guest is expressly permitted to prove that no damage or significantly less damage has occurred. Saved expenses and income from a successful replacement rental for the same period will be credited to the benefit of the guest.

No legal 14-day right of withdrawal

Under section 312g(2)(9) of the German Civil Code (BGB), contracts for accommodation on specified dates generally have no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. The cancellation conditions above remain applicable.
